Our dubbing course provides an educational path that aims to the achievement of true professionalism.
For this reason our dubbing school offers a study plan structured on three levels, starting from beginners.
However, based on personal competence and experience, there is the possibility to access directly to the second or third level.
Our company has been working in this field for over thirty years.
Many of our students today are among the most popular voice actors in animation, film and TV series, and some of them have won castings even within our own productions.
We do not promise work but we support our best students by creating important opportunities for them in the entertainment business.
It takes time, consistency and patience to learn in detail every technique and every aspect of the business.
It is wrong to assume that haste ensures quicker results.
The possibility ODS offers to students to attend dubbing sessions considerably increases learning and knowledge of many aspects of our profession. Our dubbing courses are numerus clausus: max 10 students for Second Level and max 8 students for Third - each lesson lasts three hours.
Teaching is entrusted to various dubbing directors, in order to diversify the teaching and accustom the student to deal with different types of direction.
Each course is also accompanied by workshops and seminars with the participation of leading colleagues and directors from Rome and Milan.
Training courses also include personal face-to-face evaluation meetings with the teachers.
They allow us to evaluate any deficiencies in each student and, when these emerge, enable us to build an educational path with specific exercises in order to correct errors and put the student in the best condition to reach the target.
STRUCTURE OF THE DUBBING COURSE
I LEVEL
During this course we work alongside with an acting course, since a good voice actor is, first of all, an actor.
Several recording sessions are contemplated, both to improve vocal expressiveness and begin familiarizing with real dubbing.
Those already in possession of these skills (from previous studies or previous professional experience), thanks to the seminar "Approach to Dubbing" will be able to access directly to the second or third level.
Subject of study:
Diction and voice expression
Vocal techniques (setting the correct vocalization)
Interpretation
Acting
Recording sessions in dubbing studio
Approach to dubbing (in studio)
Final individual evaluation check .
II LEVEL
The overall work, both in the acting course and during the classroom lessons as well as in the dubbing room, will lead the student to understand what is necessary to acquire in order to become a good voice actor: "immediate identification" of place/spaces/character/muscular tension/movement/emotional state.
The roadmap of the second year delves into aspects of acting previously studied in the first year.
We analyse and rehearse scenes from theatrical works, poetic texts, drama and comedy dialogues, in order to develop sensibility and interpretative skills when playing a character, using the voice in all its tonal and expressive varieties. Plus, one or more theatrical texts are arranged on the lectern, to be interpreted as if they were "radio dramas".
Finally, taking inspiration from a theatrical text properly reduced and adapted, we focus on preparing the recital that will be held at the end of the course.
Subject of study:
TD (Theatre Dubbing) -Theatre and cinema acting
Voice-over techniques (classroom and dubbing studio)
Voice characterization
Acting using the microphone (applied to dubbing classroom and dubbing studio)
Acting in advertising (dubbing studio)

NOTE: during the third level course, lessons of "extreme acting" will be held too, essential to emotional involvement in acting (search for truth).
